Sainik School
Sainik Schools are English medium residential Schools affiliated to CBSE and managed by Sainik Schools Society (Ministry and Defence). They prepare cadets to join the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy and other training academics (Officeres)
The Scheme to establish Sainik Schools was started in 1961 to broad base recruitment and remove regional imbalance in the officer’s cadre of Defence Forces. Sainik Schools are joint venture of the Central and States Governments. At present 18 Sainik Schools are being administered by Sainik Schools Society.
The Sainik Schools are fully residential and admit students in classes VI & IX only, strictly in order of merit decided as per the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination. The AISSEE All India Sainik School Entrance Exam is organized by the CBSE Delhi for students interested to join VI and IX standards. The organization was established by the ministry of defense for providing best education especially to the rural candidates in India. Unlike other educational institutions, the organization following special Academic pattern that helps to serve better education to the candidates.

What is the Educational Qualification under Sanik School Eligibility Criteria 2020-21?
There is a minimum basic eligibility criterion for students who wish to apply for Sainik School Admission – Only boys are allowed to apply for admission and the other criteria are mentioned in the final notification. Besides these, there are certain other eligibility guidelines issued by Sainik Schools for admission purposes. They are mentioned below.
Eligibility for Admission to Class 6 :
- Age of boys should be between 10 to 12 as on March 31, 2021.
- Candidates must have completed class V from any recognized board.
Eligibility for Admission to Class 9 :
- Age of boys should be between 13 to 14 as on March 31,2021.
- Candidates must have completed class VIII from any recognized board.
